Day Trip,Tech Week, Previews...Oh My!
Twin Bill eminates tragic beauty

Hello all,

I have been in the midst of tech week and frankly there hasn't
been enough time to update the blog or to be more than a blur
through the office.

Tech week is a time of great joy and frustration. Joy, because
you get to see the culmination of the work of a fine group of
artists. Frustration, because you get to sit in a cold theatre as
you re-set yet again to run the same one minute section over
and over.
I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Previews are starting tonight and these five shows gives us a
chance to adapt, change and grow as we push towards opening
night on the 17th. Your feedback during this time is essential.
How an audience receives these shows will be a wonderfully
surprising element for us. So come out and see the shows this
week and then come back and see how it has changed. All right
that wasn't a very subtle ploy to get repeat business but if you do
see a preview and you do want to come back later in the run please
get in touch with me and I will give you a deal on your ticket.

Rehearsal Snapshot: Locksley (Mazin Elsadig) comforts friend and landlord Donna (Sabryn Rock) in Late. We are once again running our Toronto Star Sundays. For each Sunday matinee after the 17th your ticket will also give you tea, sweets and savouries graciously provided by Ericha Cromwell of La Tea Da. Ok I have to get to the theatre but two final things. Day Tripping with Obsidian on September 20th. There are only 6 tickets left so let's fill up the bus. And some advance warning to mark down Oct 31, Nov. 1,2 as the weekend for Obsidian's First International Playwrights Forum. More to follow but please keep the dates clear as I think you won't want to miss the opportunity to meet some fine playwrights and hear them talk about their work. I am looking forward to a weekend of art, inspiration and fun.
